With over 10 years experience of owner managing a Camping and Caravanning Club CL camp site we appreciate the small things that make a holiday perfect. We understand how its feels the first time to go camping and how tricky it is to master erecting the mysteries of a tent on a windy day, There are days when all you want to do is soak under a hot shower after a day on the beach and those wonderful evenings as the sun sets, the kids are asleep and you are relaxing and unwinding listening to some music with a glass of your favourite tipple.  All that we ask is that when it gets dusk please consider other families with younger sleeping children or lone travellers who may be wanting an early start. Children love to be able to run and play freely in the large meadow or offer a tasty carrot to the many friendly animals in the paddocks on the farm.

This is camping!

OUR STORY

THE FACILITIES

We spent a week camping at Simon Field with the grandchildren, they loved being "up close" to the sheep, horses and chickens the site may be small but has spacious pitches with plenty of room between pitches, so you don't feel "on top" of each other. Counting down the weeks till we are back again for another super stay at the site... Derby Dave and family.

We stayed over the August Bank holiday at Simon Field the site has big pitches with plenty of room between them.not even the weather could dampen the spirits with the barby being held under tarpaulins due to the thunderstorms, and the shop quickly utilised as the impromptu party room to save everyone getting soaked, great weekend looking to book again earlier this time bril site and bril staff nothing is too much for them to do ...Zoe and Reece from Ilkeston.

We first stayed at Simon Field in May 2016 it was our first ever camping trip as a family. Graham and Gill were lovely very welcoming and helpful. Nothing was to much trouble and the kids loved the fact that they could interact with the Animals and plenty of room for them to run and play. It is a small site but pitches are ample big enough and facilities are good plenty of hot water. We enjoyed ourselves so much before leaving we booked in for the August Bank holiday which was an amazing weekend of fun and laughter all campers got together for an end of season BBQ fabulous idea by Graham and Gill. I would recommend staying at Simon Field for anyone who likes the great outdoors. In fact we love it so much we are going back twice this year with some of the other campers we made friends with. So see you in May Graham and Gill
